Mahinumdoman nga miaging Hunyo 12, ilegal nga gipangdakop sa mga sakop sa ILIGAN CITY POLICE STATION FIVE sa pagpangulo ni Major Allan Abalde, Police Station 5 Commander ug sa liderato ni Colonel Michael Pareja, City Police Director ang 13 ka mga magtutungha nga nagpasiugda of peaceful program kalabot pagsaulog sa Independence Day ug sa pagkondena sa pagratsada sa ANTI-TERROR BILL.
Sa mga videos nga nakuha sa mga estudyante ug sa mga litrato, wala gikalimtan sa mga estudyante sa pagsunod sa health safety protocol hilabi na ang pag-obserba sa social distancing. Gawas sa niini, gipapugos sa liderato sa ICPO 5 ug PNP-Iligan nga mopirma og waiver nga gaingon:
"That we were released by Police Station 5 in Good Physical and Mental state and that nothing were taken or loss in all our personal belongings at the office of Police station 5...That we were treated humanely and maltreated or abused in any form and collectively agree not to file any case, criminal/administrative/civil against any police officers involved in the operation.”
Gi-issuehan og traffic violation ticket nga misupak kuno sa social distancing bisan pa og dili kana ang tinuod. Dili man gani makapagawas og pruweba ang ICPO 5 kalabot sa ilang buhat-buhat nga violation.
Nakasinati sad og emotional harassment ang mga estudyante sa kamot sa kapulisan nga giignan pa silag mga bakakon ug gustong ipagawas nila nga naay gasugo ug ga-finance kanila nga mag-rally. Hangtod karon, padayon pang ga-recover ang mga estudyante sa way klarong dinad-an sa kapulisan. Wala na giuli sa kapulisan ang cake nga ilang gikuha nga gipanag-iyahan man to sa mga estudyante. Adunay tatak "JUNK TERROR BILL".
Nakumpirma sad namo pinaagi sa mitabang nga abugado nga ang mga nanakop sa mga estudyante kay mga sakop sa ANTI-DRUGS ENFORCEMENT UNIT. Dili lang ubos ang tan-aw sa PNP sa mga kritikal nga estudyante ug iskolar mg bayan, MGA DRUG ADDICT PA ilang tan.aw niining mga estudyante nga nag-exercise lang sa ilang constitutional right nga magpagawas sa ilang kaligutgot kalabot sa kontra-tawo nga pamalaod sama sa ANTI-TERROR BILL.

Apan wala dira miundang ang intimidasyon sa kapulisan ug nag-apil-apil pa ang hanay sa militar. Karong adlawa, June 06, 2020 laing development ang nahitabo. UNOM KA MGA ESTUDYANTE sa #Iligan16 ang gi-harass sa mga nagpailang sakop sa kapulisan ug militar nga dili unipormado. Gipang-adtoan og nagpahigayon kunuhay og “interview”. Pero sa ilang mga pangutana malisyosong ginapunting sa mga kapulisan ug militar nga ang mga estudyante adunay pay laing daotang katuoyan gawas sa lehitimong dissent ug dili pag-uyon sa ANTI-TERROR BILL. Buot sa AFP-PNP nga i-harass ang mga estudyante para mahimong ehemplo sa ubang batan-on nga maghilom na lang hilabi na niining panahon sa inhustisya. Ginabuhat nila ni para masegurado nga dili masundan ang mga kalihokan nga nahitabo miaging June 12, Araw ng Kalayaan sa IMCC Freedom Park.
Desperado na ang AFP-PNP sa pagpadala sa ilang mga elemento ngadto sa mga kabalayan sa mga estudyante kay mismo ang abugado nga mitabang ug nag-assist sa mga estudyante miaging June 12 ilang gi-akusahan nga maoy nagpaluyo sa peaceful protest. Matod sa usa sa unom, gipakitaan sad siyag “record” sa mga militar nga gi-redtag na siya ug uban pang estudyante nga miuban sa peaceful protest. Sa kahadlok sa usa sa unom gihatag na lang niya ang iyang personal details sama sa: pangalan, contact no., ug uban pa; ug mismo ang mga ginikanan sa mga estudyante nakadawat sad og "pahimangno" gikan sa mga persohane sa AFP-PNP.
Dili masabtan sa yanong mga hunahuna sa AFP-PNP nga wala gakinahanglan ang mga estudyante og “external force” para matuklod silang magpahigayon og peaceful protest isip pagkondena sa ANTI-TERROR BILL. Mismo gikan sa mga estuydante, nakita nila ang dili makatarunganon ang maong pamalaod ug kinahanglan kining kontrahon samtang wala pay inosenteng kinabuhi ang nahimong biktima sa ATB. Dili masabtan sa yanong mga hunahuna sa AFP-PNP nga adunay katungod ang mga estudyante nga magpagawas sa ilang sentimento hilabi na kon makadaot kini sa kinatibuk-ang Pilipino.
Kinahangalan naay manubag gikan sa liderato sa PNP Iligan ug sa kon asa pa gagikan ang sugo para ipang-harass ang nga estudyante ug kalabot sa bayolente ug ilegal nga pagdakop sa buhat-buhat nga violation miaging June 12. Kinahanglan manubag ug tubagon nila Major Allan Abalde, Police Station 5 Commander ug sa liderato ni Colonel Michael Pareja, City Police Director para sa hanay sa kapulisan ug mismo ang mga kawani sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) diri sa Iligan kon unsay gipangbuhat sa ilang mga tawo sa mga kabalayan sa mga estudyante. Gitawagan namo ang atensyon sa mga local officials sa DAKBAYAN SA ILIGAN nganong gina-target sa mga kapulisan ug militar ang mga estudyante nga adunay lehitimong problemang gisang-at ug nganong tubagon silag pagpang-harass ug pagpang-redtag.
Wala pa gani nahimong balaod ang Anti-Terrorism Bill pero sunod-sunod na ang pag-atake sa estado sa mga ordinaryong sibilyan hilabi na sa mga estudyante. Tataw kaayo nga ang pagpasa sa Anti-Terrorism Bill usa na lang ka formality nga ga-legitimize sa mga katawhan hilabi na sa mga kritiko. Dili nato itugot nga mamuyo ta niining katilingban nga puno sa kahadlok ug sa kahadlok nga mostorya sa kamatuoran. Dili nato itugot nga ang pagstorya sa mga inhustiya sa nasod mamahimong rason para i-harass ug atakehon ang atong tawhanong katungod.
Gipanawagan sa ILIGAN YOUTH ADVOCATES ug sa tanang hugpong sa mga kritikal ug nagpakabanang estudyante sa Iligan nga undangon na sa PNP ug AFP ang ilang pagsamok-samok, intimidasyon, ug harassment sa mga estudyante hilabi na karon sa panahon sa pandemiya! Kon kinsa pa ang gibansagang PAG-ASA NG BAYAN, sila pa mismo ang ginahasol-hasol sa mga ahente sa estado nag way laing gibuhat kondili ang pag-atake sa mga estudyante nga walay laing ginabitbit kon dili ang ilang baroganan ug prinsipyo para sa pagpanalipod sa prinsipyo sa demokrasya ug pagtuboy sa tawhanong katungod sa nasod.
Atong panalipdan ang atong pinalanggang Dakbayan sa Iligan. Dili nato itugot nga mokuyanap ang kahadlok ug inhustisya niining atong lungsod.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE ILIGAN YOUTH ADVOCATE ON THE HARASSMENT OF THE AFP-PNP TO THE 6 STUDENTS OF #ILIGAN16
Last June 12, 2020, the police personnel from the ILIGAN CITY POLICE STATION FIVE under the command of Major Allan Abalde, Police Station 5 Commander and under the leadership of Colonel Michael Pareja, City Police Director illegally arrested 16 students who were conducting a peaceful program in line of the Independence Day celebration and in condemning the ANTI-TERRORISM BILL.
But the intimidation of the police did not stop from there and even the military is meddling in the situation. Today, June 06, 2020, SIX STUDENTS of the #Iligan16 were harassed by a number of non-uniformed individuals who introduced themselves as members of the PNP and the AFP. The students were visited in their homes with an excuse of making an “interview”. But in their queries, the police and military maliciously coerce that the students still have other ill motives aside from the legitimate dissent and to the disapproval of ANTI-TERROR BILL. It only shows that AFP-PNP are intentionally harassing through acts that will intimidate the students to remain silent and be an exemplary model among other youths amidst this trying times and injustices.

Based on the videos and photos taken by the students, it can be clearly seen how the protesters followed the required health safety protocol and specifically observed physical distancing. Aside from this fact, the Iligan City Police Station 5 forcefully made thirteen (13) of those involved sign a waiver that stated:THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF ILIGAN YOUNG ADVOCATES REGARDING THE HARASSMENT OF AFP-PNP TO THE SIX (6) STUDENTS OF #ILIGAN16.
"That we were released by Police Station 5 in Good Physical and Mental state and that nothing were taken or loss in all our personal belongings at the office of Police station 5...That we were treated humanely and maltreated or abused in any form and collectively agree not to file any case, criminal/administrative/civil against any police officers involved in the operation.”
They were issued traffic violation tickets as they allegedly violated physical distancing even though there was no evidence of proving it. The ICPO 5 failed to even give any proof to their made-up narratives that the students violated the community quarantine guidelines.
The students also experienced emotional harassment and physical abuse under the hands of the police officers as they were told that they are fabricators and were only dictated by a person or entity who paid them to conduct the rally. Until now, the recovery of the students from the ill treatment of the police is still in progress. The police did not even return the ‘detained’ cake owned by the students which has a written message: JUNK TERROR BILL.
With the help of a lawyer, we have confirmed that the ones who arrested the students are members of the ANTI-DRUGS ENFORCEMENT UNIT. This is how PNP sees the students who think critically—DRUG ADDICTS—and that is just because they exercise their constitutional right in condoning laws that can easily be abused such as the ANTI-TERROR BILL.

They are doing this to make sure that the activity last June 12, Independence Day, in IMCC-Rotonda Freedom Park, will not occur in the near future.
The AFP-PNP are now desperate to send their people in the homes of students, because even the lawyer who helped and assisted the students last June 12 was accused as the one who is behind the peaceful protest. According to one of the six students who was visited by the people of AFP-PNP, they showed him a “record” and was red-tagged together with the other students who joined the peaceful protest. Due to fear, one of the six out willingly gave his personal details such as name, contact no., etc.; and even the parents of the students received an “advisory” from the people of AFP-PNP.
The AFP-PNP cannot simply understand that the students don’t need an “external force” for them to conduct a peaceful protest as a condemnation to the ANTI-TERROR BILL. The students have seen the illegitimate action of the legislative and that it must be contradicted before the ATB takes its first innocent victim. The people of AFP-PNP can’t comprehend the idea that the students were just there to express their sentiments most especially when it harms the entirety of Filipino people.
Someone must be liable from PNP Iligan and answer where this order comes from to harass the students, including the violent and illegal arrest last June 12. Major Allan Abalde, Police Station 5 Commander and the leadership of Colonel Michael Pareja, City Police Director must be responsible and make a statement on behalf of the police and members of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Iligan regarding the actions of their people in the houses of the students. We are calling the attention of the local officials in the CITY OF ILIGAN on why the police and military are targeting students by harassing and even red-tagging them.
ATB is not even a law yet, but the attacks of this administration on ordinary civilians and students are rampant and are too often. It has been too obvious that the ATB legitimizes the attacks on the people, especially the critics of the administration, and institutionalizes the injustices. We must not allow ourselves to live in this society full of fear, and be afraid of speaking the truth. Let’s not allow that talking about the injustices of this nation be a reason for us to be harassed and attack our human rights.
The ILIGAN YOUTH ADVOCATES and other factions of critical thinkers and concerned students in Iligan are calling out to PNP and AFP to stop the fuss, intimidation, and harassment of the students in the middle of this pandemic! He who is even named as the HOPE OF THE NATION, were the ones being harassed. The students have nothing on them but just their views and principles in defending the essence of democracy and in protecting the human rights of this nation.
Let’s defend our dear City of Iligan. Let’s not allow fear and injustices to spread in our city!STOP THE ATTACKS!!!
